For UK dental practices

The toothache that
rang at half six
booked in anyway.

England Voice answers your practice line around the clock — books check-ups and hygienist appointments, triages emergencies properly, and fills the slot someone cancelled this morning.

A real agent, trained on a dental practice. Speaks through your browser.

A patient in pain rings three practices.

They stop at the first one that answers. Not the nearest, not the cheapest — the one that picked up. Every call your front desk misses at lunchtime, during a procedure, or after five is a patient who registered somewhere else and stays there for a decade.

A single new patient is worth a great deal more than a month of this.

  • Answers during procedures, at lunch, and after hours
  • Several callers at once — no engaged tone when the post arrives
  • Triages genuine emergencies to A&E instead of booking them
  • Rings round to fill this morning's cancellation
  • Tells callers straight whether the NHS list is open
  • Never offers clinical advice — books them in instead

What it handles

The calls your front desk repeats all day

  1. 1

    Bookings and reschedules

Check-ups, hygienist, new patient examinations. It knows your minimum notice, which appointments take longer, and that a hygienist slot isn't available next Tuesday.

  2. 2

    Emergency triage

Swelling affecting the airway goes to A&E or 111 — never into your diary. Pain, breakages and lost crowns get an emergency slot and an urgent flag to the practice.

  3. 3

    The same six questions

Are you taking NHS patients. How much is a check-up. Where do I park. Do you do implants. Answered consistently, in your words, without interrupting anyone chairside.

Why the voice matters here

Your patient is already anxious.

Dentistry has a nervous customer base. Someone ringing with a throbbing molar at seven in the evening does not want a bright American voice reading a script at them — they want to be told, calmly, that they can be seen tomorrow morning.

We use warm British voices, tested against the towns and counties your patients actually live in. It's a small thing that decides whether they relax or hang up.

  • Calm, not chirpyMatched to a practice, not a call centre.
  • Says your postcode properlyPlace names your callers recognise.
  • Under a second to replyA conversation, not a queue.
  • Copes with interruptionsPeople in pain talk over you. It manages.

Straight answers

What practice managers ask

Can it handle dental emergencies safely?

It triages, it doesn't diagnose. Facial swelling affecting the eye or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding — all sent straight to A&E or 111, and never booked into your diary. Pain, a broken tooth or a lost crown get an emergency appointment and an urgent flag to you.

Will it give clinical advice?

No, and it's explicitly barred from trying. It won't assess symptoms, suggest painkillers or speculate on treatment. The line it uses is "I can't advise on that, but the dentist will take a proper look — let's get you seen."

Can it book into our practice management software?

If it has an API or a syncable calendar, generally yes. Google Calendar, Outlook and Cal.com are straightforward. Practice software varies — tell us what you run and we'll confirm before you pay a penny.

How does it handle our NHS waiting list?

It tells callers plainly whether your list is open or closed, adds them to a waiting list if you keep one, and offers private appointments where that's appropriate. It won't overpromise to get someone off the phone.

What about patient data and GDPR?

Calls are recorded and transcribed so you can review them, with the required notice in the greeting. Data is held in the UK or EU, any call can be deleted on request, and we sign a data processing agreement as your processor.

Do we have to change our practice number?

No. You divert your existing line — five minutes with your provider, on every call or only when you don't pick up. You can switch it off any time without asking us.
